It's really amazing all the essential technical gear you need to haul along with you when you travel these days. In the olden days, a small portable tv and a room fan were all you needed to make your home away from home complete. Now we need 2 cameras (my new one and the old one for Bill to experiment with), extra batteries and chargers for the cameras, the stupid cell phone and a charger for that, a laptop I borrowed from Marc and my portable hard drive to download my pictures to (wait, do I really need that if I have the computer? Better take it, just in case), assorted USB cords and connections, a tripod, and more stuff. I hope I have room for a bathing suit. I'm also wondering if I should take the tv and the fan.
