We saw 3:10 To Yuma this week. Go see it, even if you're not a western fan. I'm not either and I quite liked it. The strength of the picture is in the character study of the 2 leads, Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) and Dan Evans (Christian Bale). They are both excellent and play off one another very well. The story itself is rather silly, but the interaction between the men is interesting and compelling. They are two halves of a whole. Both quite damaged and handicapped in different ways, but they recognize something in each other that helps to make them more complete. The supporting cast is excellent but overshadowed by the strong leads.
