This is what it looked like late Thursday afternoon out my window. I listened to the weather forecast at noon and they said "maybe a few snow flurries, turning quickly to rain." We all know how wrong that was. It was our first significant snow of the season and it was really beautiful. But Bill was growling around, "if it's more than 6 inches, just throw a bag in the car and we're outta here." This is when I reminded him of how lovely it would be to retire to Maine. This time he didn't mince words or try to humor me. He just looked at me almost fearfully and said "Are you crazy?" Maybe I am.
